This is it. My last post about NaNoWriMo (for this year, at least). I've enjoyed documenting my first full journey to 50,000 words, even if sometimes I was so busy writing I didn't see the point in writing about writing. It's been a hectic month, that's for sure, and now that it's December the only thing left to do with our hastily written manuscripts is to begin editing. Woohoo!

I'm so excited to say that for the first time since November 9th I have reached par for the day!
I'm home! It's finally Thanksgiving break, and I just got home yesterday afternoon to enjoy the rest of the week with my family before being plunged back into course work and preparation for finals. We know what that means: more time for writing!
Week three. Week three? Seriously. How can NaNoWriMo already be halfway over? I don't know about anyone else who's participating, but it feels to me as though this month only just started. At this rate, this month will be over in no time flat.
Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later, although I'm not sure I thought it would happen this early in the month. Still, I can't say I'm surprised that it has. As of yesterday, I've fallen behind the daily par. Really, though, I only missed the 16,667-word mark by 660 words, so I'm not worried. I just felt like acting dramatic about it for a moment. It's the end of the year and I'm a senior in college--I knew there would be a few days I just couldn't keep up.
